Our Promise
CertainKey is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. As part of
our normal operation, we require a few pieces of personal information from our
users.
Information Gathered Through Web Server Logs
CertainKey will compile statistics on the domains from which people visit
CertainKey.com and other sites owned by CertainKey, Inc. These statistics
may be used for marketing analysis, product planning or any other purpose.
Currently, CertainKey requires your name and e-mail address when asking for
further information about our products. The e-mail address is a requirement if
we are to send a response, and neither your name nor e-mail address will be
distributed to a third party. Any personal information included in
correspondence with CertainKey is considered confidential and not released to
third parties. The only exception to that rule occurs when law requires a
disclosure of personal information or the user specifically authorizes such a
disclosure. A user's e-mail address will only ever be used for responses
to questions submitted through the online form, or if that user has subscribed
to our announcement lists.
Opt-In Mailings
A user may choose to subscribe to one of our announcement mailing lists.
Subscription is voluntary and free of charge. A user may unsubscribe at any
time. Instructions for removing oneself from the list are included in every
message sent to the user.
Security
To ensure site security, CertainKey performs security audits of both the
computer systems and the human systems which handle personal information.
Encryption tools and software are used to keep private information private.
Enforcement
In the event that CertainKey becomes aware of a compromise that results in the
loss or theft of private information, CertainKey shall take reasonable measures
which it deems appropriate, including but not limited to internal investigations
or notification of law enforcement. CertainKey shall take reasonable steps
to notify any users whose information has become known to a third party.
